Retail Omnichannel Platform
A regional retail group operating stores across the Gulf needed to unify in-store, e-commerce and logistics onto a single platform. MEAICON delivered the integrated infrastructure with real-time inventory visibility and secure connectivity across all sites.
The challenge
What the client needed
A regional retail group with dozens of stores across the Gulf was operating separate systems for in-store point-of-sale, e-commerce and warehouse logistics. Inventory data was inconsistent across channels — a product shown as in-stock online might be unavailable at the nearest store, and warehouse replenishment orders were based on end-of-day batch reports rather than real-time demand.
The group wanted a single omnichannel platform where inventory, orders and customer data flowed seamlessly across all channels. The underlying network connecting stores, warehouses and the e-commerce platform also needed to be secured, particularly for payment card data flowing through point-of-sale systems.
Our approach
How we engaged
MEAICON began with a full audit of the group's existing systems — point-of-sale terminals, e-commerce backend, warehouse management and the network links connecting stores to headquarters. We mapped the data flows between these systems and identified where real-time integration could replace batch processes.
The network and security design was developed alongside the platform integration, ensuring that payment card data flowing through point-of-sale systems was segmented and protected at every hop between store and data centre.
- System audit and data flow mapping across stores, warehouses and e-commerce
- Omnichannel platform architecture design with real-time inventory sync
- Secure store-to-data-centre connectivity with payment card data segmentation
- Network monitoring and operational visibility deployment
The solution
What we delivered
The delivered platform unifies in-store point-of-sale, e-commerce and warehouse logistics onto a single backend with real-time inventory synchronisation. A sale in a store updates inventory visibility for the e-commerce site immediately; an online order triggers the nearest warehouse for fulfilment based on live stock levels rather than batch reports.
The network connecting every store, warehouse and the central data centre was rebuilt with secure, segmented links. Payment card data flows through isolated network paths with encryption and monitoring at each hop, and a central operations console gives the group's IT team visibility into network health across all sites.
